Any information NAOS may ask for will only be used according to this privacy statement.

NAOS may change this policy from time to time in line with legislation and whilst we are still working together we will provide you with a copy of any change. If we have ceased working together and you would like a copy of NAOS’s updated privacy policy, this can be provided if your request it.

Information collected

You may give us information such as your name, address and telephone number by completing the contact form on our site or by contacting us by telephone or email. Where necessary to act in your best interests we may need to process information that is sensitive in nature such as health information. In some circumstances we may need to share this information with a third party such as a GP.

We would advise that you do not share personal sensitive information on our website, but if you chose to do so, then you will be allowing NAOS to process it as part of our services to you. If you are under 16 then you must obtain parental consent before contacting NAOS via the website.

How NAOS stores information

If you contact NAOS via the contact form, no data will be stored by the website or passed to any third party.

How you transmit data onto our site is at your risk and NAOS cannot guarantee the safety of this. Once we have received your data then we have procedures and security to ensure we do our best to safeguard your information and prevent unauthorised access.

How NAOS uses this information

NAOS uses information in order to:

  • Carry out contracts between yourself and NAOS and to provide you with the services you request from NAOS.
  • Administer website, data analysis, statistical and survey purposes, testing.
  • Enable improvements to the website.
  • Keep the website secure and safe.
  • Keep records such as client hours
  • Run and maintain our business i.e. for financial records
  • Let you know of changes to our service.

NAOS also keep brief notes of counselling and supervision sessions to support us in offering you counselling or supervision. NAOS will not use contact information or your session notes for any other purpose other than in this notice and our contract with you.

If for any reason NAOS is asked to provide a report of the sessions, e.g. at your request, then this will be shared with you for your consideration before it is provided to the person requesting it. It will be stored for 3 years.

Storage

NAOS will store information for no longer than 3 years and no less than 2 weeks depending on the information provided. Our computers are password protected to ensure the safety and protection of your information. NAOS can provide detailed information regarding this on request.

Access to information

You can request access to the personal information NAOS holds on you and except in limited circumstances where we are not permitted to do so for legal reasons, we will provide this information to you within one month and can be looked at in session or at a mutually agreed time in the NAOS office.

If you feel any information that we hold that is incorrect and to ask us to delete any information that we hold about you is inaccurate then you are able to ask me to update your information. If you want NAOS to delete your information for any reason then please put your request in writing to us and we will endeavour to do so unless we need to keep it for legal or internal business purposes.
